DLF to Add 1.4 Million Sq Ft of Retail Space with Goa’s Largest Mall and Plazas in Delhi & Gurugram in FY26

Real estate giant DLF is set to expand its retail footprint by launching three new projects this fiscal year—Goa’s largest shopping mall and two premium neighborhood plazas in West Delhi and Gurugram—adding approximately 14 lakh square feet of retail space.

“We’re opening three retail properties this fiscal,” said Pushpa Bector, Senior Executive Director and Business Head, DLF Retail, in an interview with HT.com. “We remain optimistic about rising consumption and the robust growth of organised retail in India.”

The upcoming DLF Midtown Plaza in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar (2.88 lakh sq ft) is scheduled to open in the next 3–4 months. Later in the year, the DLF Summit Plaza in Gurugram (4.8 lakh sq ft) will follow. These neighborhood retail hubs are designed to offer a premium lifestyle experience to residents, integrating dining, wellness, boutique cinemas, and curated shopping options into DLF’s residential communities.

“These plazas represent a new retail category—self-sustaining high streets with the charm of Khan Market, tailored for our residents,” Bector said.

Both plazas will feature boutique cinemas, Thrive by DLF wellness centers, co-working spaces, and artisanal food and beverage options alongside a blend of global and homegrown retail brands.

A Landmark Retail Launch in Goa

DLF also plans to unveil a 7 lakh sq ft shopping mall in Goa by early 2026—set to become the largest in the state. Bector highlighted Goa’s untapped potential, driven by a rising affluent population and increasing migration from metro cities.

“Goa has emerged as a dynamic consumption hub. Many locals and expats travel to other cities for quality retail experiences. Our mall aims to bridge that gap and serve this evolving market,” she noted.

Future Plans and Sector Outlook

Looking ahead, DLF is developing a massive 25 lakh sq ft retail project in Gurugram. The company currently operates eight retail assets, including its flagship mall in Noida, with a portfolio totaling 45 lakh sq ft under DLF Cyber City Developers Ltd (DCCDL)—a joint venture with Singapore’s GIC.

Post-pandemic, the organised retail sector has seen a strong revival, Bector said, with rising footfalls and resilient consumer demand, particularly in the food and beverage segment, which now occupies 20–22% of DLF’s retail mix.

“Indian consumers continue to prioritize lifestyle-driven spending. This resilience is driving sustained growth in the retail sector,” she added.
